Aerial View of the Italian countryside

The skies were clear on the Sunday morning we arrived in Rome Italy. The views from the plane window were delightful so I took a few videos that I am sharing here. The plane is headed for Fiumicino International Airport, also known as Loenardo da Vinci International Airport. From the Airport we will take a coach to the Citavecchia Port to embark the Oceania Marina cruise ship for a twenty day cruise around the eastern Mediterranean Sea. The pictures from the air are over the country-side near Ceri between Rome and Citavecchia Port.

Ceri, Italy between Citavecchia and Fiumicino.

The weather was beautiful for the last week of October with temperatures in the low twenties Celsius. (low seventies Fahrenheit). Click on the pictures in the gallery below to view them full size. They are selected frames from the video below.

The video below will show the scenery as the plane makes its approach to the airport.

The plane seemed to land a long way from the terminal so there was a lot to see as we taxied into the terminal building. I am sharing a video of that too.

Click to watch the video as we taxied to the terminal building.

  1. All of the pictures are amazing — but that first ne is absolutely spectacular. Thank you for sharing your trip and I am looking forward to the rest of the month.

  2. What awesome pictures…again! So many times when people visit countries they just visit the larger cities but I love checking out the countryside. We went to Rome, Assisi and Florence years back and I loved the coach ride from Rome to Assisi. You must have had a super awesome trip!

    1. Thanks Jasmine, you have a way of painting pictures with hour words. The clouds were just there, thanks to a better creator. 🙂

Thanks for looking at the pictures. Tell me what you liked, or didn't.
