What you see here is a recreation by CoCo Polizzi of an ancient souk. Completed near the end of the first year of this century, (2000) skilled craftsmen used local materials and probably modern tools to build an upscale marketplace. Many of them have shops within the complex to demonstrate their work.

That is incredibly beautiful. The patterns in the walls, the floor, pretty much everywhere. So much detail work and so exquisite. Thank you for sharing your adventure with me. I enjoyed it so much. This months challenge has been wonderful. Thank you for being part of it, Doug. I always look forward to your posts.
Thanks Alice. We always see to post near the end of the day. For me, it is often a race to beat the clock before midnight.
Wow, Doug, the Medina images are especially beautiful. If this were a resort within a half-day drive from me, I would book a stay there. What design excellence, and what care in the construction details! Even the souvenir pots are beautiful. Thanks for the tour of this area!
It is a modern city and the Medina is much cleaner and accessible than the old one on the top of the hill.
Love seeing your adventures! I love the tiling and arched entries. Beautiful.
What great places you’ve been to Doug. And the photography. Thanks for showing us.
What a way to end the challenge on a Wordless Wednesday and breathtaking photos! See you in July Doug!
