This evening I took the evening off for a visit to the concert in the park series that is put on every Wednesday evening through the summer months.
The major, introduced the group for this week. Grand Evolution performs tributes to the rock groups Styx and Journey. The following clip is their introduction piece.
The concerts go on rain or shine. The audience was a little less than usual because of the showers we were getting through the day from the side effects of tropical storm Beryl.
Shortly after the concert began, the showers began and out came the umbrellas.
I love concerts in the park. It’s one of those really great ways to get out into the community and enjoy local music while also supporting local vendors.
A great way to see great entertainment for only a small donation to the local food bank.
definitely enjoy going to concerts in our area whenever i can.. but now waiting for it to cool down a bit .. the high 90s and low 100s is too hot for me to enjoy outdoor concerts
We only have a couple of months when it is warm enough in the evening to be comfortable sitting outside. Most evenings the temperature drops to the mid 60s.
