Just around the point of the peninsula from Porto Cervo on Costa Smeralda is another coastal town that is attracting visitors to the beautiful beaches and blue water of the Mediterranean Sea.
There are luxurious resorts and high end hotels and lots of restaurants, cafes and shops.
The surrounding hills offer hiking opportunities. Can you imagine the island being formed from molten lava that flowed and bubbled like melted sugar?
A short distance up the hill away from the beach is the parking lot for busses and cars. Do you like this view from the parking lot?
Just think how readily available the building supplies are for all of the stone used in the buildings. There must be quarries near by.
It is an easy walk from the parking lot down to the beach, just follow the red and gray brick road.
When you reach the beach make sure you take some pictures to prove that you were here.
A short video will summarize the views around this beachfront town.
I loved all the pictures and it’s amazing how the island was formed from molten lava. The color of the water is gorgeous.
Your question “Would you like to spend some time on the beach with your toes in the Mediterranean Sea?” caught my attention. I’ve been freezing my butt (and my feet) off these past weeks, and look at this sunny scenery and blue sky in your pictures!! Thank you for taking me to Sardinia!
