Budapest Christmas Markets
Nancy and I booked our Danube cruise so that we could see the Christmas Markets and finish up with a celebration of Christmas with our daughter in Bedfordshire, UK. We thought that visiting Christmas markets would be an extra tour to our cruise itinerary. It turns out that every city and possibly town has its own Christmas market. And most cities have more than one site where the booths are set up. Here are some pictures of our first experience with Christmas markets in Budapest.
Streets are turned into pedestrian malls. All of these pictures were taken about 3:30 in the afternoon.
All the vendors are encouraged to sell local crafts and produce.
You can buy hats and mittens to keep warm. Do you see anything you like?
.
And they have lots of food and hot drinks. <see next post.>.
Where would you like to go to day?
