Only a couple of blocks inland from the seafood market is a busy shopping area to buy all of the other things the world has to offer. It is also the hub of one of Asia’s most significant International Film Festivals held in October each year. Hence, it is called BIFF Square. The deadlines for submissions for the 2023 season are 21 June for Short Films and 19 July for Feature Films.
Shopping is the main purpose of this pedestrian mall. Kiosks are set up down the middle of the street and pedestrians stroll down both sides. The street ends two blocks away with this view as you turn and look back down the street. Of course, the shopping does not stop here.
You can see that it is a busy street.
And the buildings are very tall.
Sometimes you can get a glimpse of other things between the buildings like the local landmark Busan Tower.
And remember we are not very far from the Marina near the Cloud Trail over Sondo Beach.
Do you think you would like to visit the BIFF film festival in Busan, South Korea in October? How about the TIFF in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in the first weeks of September?
The sights are amazing! I could tell from your pictures that it’s more than the shopping that would entice you to the visit.
Do you think it might be more about taking the pictures?🤓
