Views from Gibraltar
Gibraltar has a commanding view of Spain to the North and to the East, and to Africa in the South across the Mediterranean Sea. The bay to the east is called the Bay of Gibraltar by the English speaking British. However the larger Spanish city across the bay is called Algeciras and they call it the Bahai de Algeciras, naturally.
Algeciras is a city located in the province of Cádiz in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. It’s metropolitan population is over a quarter million. Compare that to Gibraltar’s population of almost 33,000.
Above right is the southern tip of Spain. Above left is the northern part of the sovereign country, the Kingdom of Morocco, on the African continent.
There is a cable car that takes passengers to the summit from the city. The buses however are a better way to see more of the sights.

Some beautiful scenery. I wonder what that ruined-looking concrete structure was? (Do you wonder at people who notice stuff like that?)
Yet another breathtaking tour! Thanks for sharing, it feels like I’m there through your photos.
One more post from here and then we move on.
My fondest memory of Gibraltar was the bifurcation of the runway by a street!
Thanks. I was impressed by that too. I even took a few pictures. http://jarvie.ca/gibraltar/
