Last day at Pine Cliff Resort

Tonight is the last night at this resort. It has been a wonderful week with lots of sun, sand and scenery. The little two bedroom cottage that we rented has everything we need to be comfortable.

If you live in a city with a view from your window that shows only the brick wall of the building next to you, you may consider changing to a view like the one this cottage offers from the window over the sink.

However, if you take one step to the left you can see more.

Here is a picture of my open air office that I use to edit and post these pictures.

Inside the cottage, we have the two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower and flush toilet. The kitchen has an electric stove with an oven, a sink and a refrigerator with a freezer.

All of the walls are finished with local pine from trees like the one outside the kitchen window and all around the resort.

All of the modern conveniences are included like the microwave and coffee makers.

If the sun, sand, and scenery are not enough, there are other indoor conveniences like a fireplace for cold evenings, an air conditioner for hot evenings, and a smart TV, WiFi and DVD player for rainy evenings.

The evenings are usually spent outdoors around a fire pit. A great way to toast marshmallows or cook wieners with the added benefit of the smoke to keep away the pesky mosquitoes while you talk about how different life is out here. Be prepared for interruptions from loons calling across the water.

      1. Beautiful pictures make your vacation at Pine Cliff Resort look so inviting! What a wonderful tour of the cottage.

  1. I love that you have to take 2 steps to the left to get a better view. LOL
Your place seems lovely. I too love to get away. I once rented a cottage for a month in Asheville NC.

It was simple, much like yours. The sink and stove were from the stone age and there wasn’t much about it that was modern. I was SO HAPPY THERE and felt completely nestled in a serene world. Thank you for reminding me of that time. Enjoy your stay.

Thanks for looking at the pictures. Tell me what you liked, or didn't.
