Notre Dame Cathedral
Construction began in 1163 and continued until 1345. It is still one of France’s most famous churches and another of the famous icons of Paris.
A statue of Joan of Arc is prominently displayed in the cathedral. She was declared a saint in 1920.
There is a large “parvis” (courtyard) in the front of the church.

I was there 20 years ago – and it was magnificent then, and it still looks amazing. The Salisbury Cathedral in England is also a magnificent work of art – the home of the Magna Carta. If ever you get the opportunity, it is well worth a visit (http://www.salisburycathedral.org.uk/). Love the pictures
