Time Travel in Vienna
Is this bank offering time travel in Vienna? Well when you tour streets of Vienna in the old town, you may feel like you’ve stepped back into a previous century.
As you leave the Saturday morning traffic and walk one block to a commercial courtyard, you may think you have stepped back into the early 1900s.
You will see monuments to remind you of an earlier time.
You will find cafés to enjoy wonderful Viennese coffee.
And as you look down each street you will see something unusual. Maybe a small church.
Or maybe a large church like this one to St. Peter.
Let’s take a stroll down this street and look at that unusual structure in the centre of the block.
And this is what you see when you look up.
And in the centre we can see the famous Royal Habsburg chin.
You may also notice the net over the stature to stop the birds from landing.
As we continue down the street to the end of the block a church spire appears near the intersection. This is St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Notice the intricately tiled roof.
