Palmetum, Santa Cruz, Tenerife

The Canary Islands have many botanical gardens. They have been bringing many species of plants to the island for hundreds of years. The excursion for this port involved visiting three of the special gardens. The previous post was of an Orchid garden. This one is of palm trees

Notice the abundance of fruit at the top.

There were other plants there as well like the cactus and the hybiscus.

There were some important signs, like don’t step in the garden, and a map.

Like many famous cities, they have an iconic opera house on the shore.

But here in the botanical garden the focus is on the plants.

  1. Absolutely beautiful! I loved all of those plants! Probably because they’re different from the plants that I’m used to. The great variety of plantlife on earth is absolutely incredible. Thank you for sharing your adventure with me.

Thanks for looking at the pictures. Tell me what you liked, or didn't.
