Porto Cervo, Europe’s exclusive resort

Sardinia is reported to have the most expensive real estate in Europe. If you have the yacht and crew to come to Porto Cervo, you will be in like company in the harbour. Hotels are available but is a popular spot with the rich and famous so book well in advance.

Because we arrived in the off season, November first, and a holiday, All Saints Day, this placed seemed like a ghost town. Almost all of the stores were closed and no one was working except for the tour guides of the two busses. The place was well maintained and all of the patio tables, chairs, umbrellas and other party stuff was tucked away out of sight. Even with two tour bus loads of people, the place was a ghost town.

Some people own summer homes here and leave them empty for fifty weeks of the year. I wonder if any are listed on AIR-B&B or VRBO.

The harbour is beautiful but a few large private yachts could fill it up.

There seems to be some space for some shuttle craft to dock near the shopping mall.

In the videos, did you notice all of the greenery and seasonal flowers, and how the plants soften the harshness of the concrete.
