Segovia
Tourism is a major source of income for Segovia. Since it is so close to Madrid, many tourists only visit for the day. However, there are many hotels for guests who want to stay overnight or longer to get a better feel of the life in the Ancient City. This area has been inhabited since 700 BC. The Roman influence began about 80 BC and the Moors from the eight century until 1079 when it was captured by the Christian army of Alphonso VI. The old City wall was built in 1088 and has been preserved to this day.

Notice the 3D texture of the walls.
The Plaza Mayor of main square in the upper city is one hub of activity.
The other hub is the lower city below the arches of the Aqueduct.

Thanks for the comment. You have hit on the purpose of my blog. It is to show people the beauty in this wonderful world and inspire those who can to see it for themselves and notice the beauty in what is already around them.
Thanks for taking me on another breathtaking tour through your pictures and video! The architecture is amazing and of course my eyes went right to the draperies hanging in the windows in the three story building!
