This Unesco World Heritage Site in Kagoshama city was the summer villa of the Shimazu clan. They were the rulers of the Satseikan Shogunate Domain from 1600 to 1870. In addition to the beautiful gardens I have pictured here, there are historic building used as a museum. It also contains the cat shrine. https://jarvie.ca/kagoshima-cat-shrine/
I love the gardens – they play peek a boo with my mind. My eye sees it all and rests in the distance, it is so entertained in the next view,
Sometimes pictures are arranged that way on purpose.
Beautiful photos and a new place to add to my Bucket List to travel to one day. Thank you for sharing them.
