The structure of the Seville Cathedral is beautiful on the outside as well as on the inside. It is very large but the distinguishing feature is the bell tower.
The tall slender bell tower has a few characteristics left that indicate it was once a minaret when the Arabs had a mosque on this site.
The old mosque was used from the time the Christian armies under King Frederick took over until the new Gothic catherdral was built.
Wow, that is stunningly beautiful. So, now, I really want to go to Spain to walk on the 500-mile El Camino. I really want to experience that spiritual journey and see these incredible cathedrals, too.
Thank you for the Seville tour. I’ve really enjoyed it. As you are fond of saying, blog on.
Glad I discovered these images from your trip! They are stunning!
