Shannon Beresford performed a tribute to Taylor Swift last night in Aurora, her home town. With her brother, Brandon, she formed the band “The Beresfords” and in June of 2017 they released an EP that made it to #4 in the country music charts in iTunes Canada. That was followed by more successful releases. They bring a lot of experience from other artists that have inspired them and also have their own releases as well.
There was a great turn out for the concert and the audience was not disappointed. They were crowding the stage and dancing to the music.
The guitar players were having a good time too.
Sometimes there are equipment malfunctions but help is near by to help out.
Shannon can play the guitar too and doesn’t need the band to make the songs sound great.
There was a half time show by a local baton twirling school, Spectrum North Baton Club.
Don’t miss the more challenging act with flaming batons to light up the night.
After the half time show, I found a place in the side wings to see what the drummer was doing and catch a closer view of the concert.
What an enchanting evening! And much less crowded than at the real Taylor’s performance.
Did you also make and swap friendship bracelets?
It’s really impressive what a euphoria the Eras tour has triggered. We were lucky and got tickets for the concert in Zurich a year in advance. I wrote about it here: https://thethreegerbers.blogspot.com/2024/07/ubc-july-entertainment.html
Yes , she was getting more and more bracelets added to her arm as the show went on.
You sure have some great concerts in your area and look at that crowd! The singing was fantastic and the baton twirlers were awesome!
I may be late posting next week if I wait for the end of concert in the park.
Shannon is quite talented! Loved her versions of Taylor’s songs. I am a Swiftie and she does an admirable job! Looks like a fun time!
This is the first time I have heard of the Beresford’s .
They have played many locations and each one has a different theme. They seem capable of covering other performers as well.
Wow, Doug, what an amazing performer Shannon is! I’m no Taylor expert, but to me Shannon sounds a lot like Taylor. Also, Shannon has her look and moves. Even the baton team was moving and grooving to Taylor’s music! My favorite Taylor tune ever is: Shake it off! Thanks for the great videos!
