Primada Cathedral in Toledo Spain
A prominent feature of the skyline of Toledo is the “Primada Catedral” or Toledo Cathedral. When down on the street it may be hard to see it because of the narrow streets, but occasionally a glimpse will show the way.
On our way to the cathedral, we stopped for lunch at a square near the cathedral. From there we could see the spire.
After lunch we started through the narrow streets. We walked for about 10 minutes then turned a corner, and there it was.
After about an hour inside the cathedral, we left through the most recently built entrance. Sometimes, it is called the Lions Gate because of the lions on the posts in front of the gate. Frequently it is just called the New Portal. It has been new since it was built in the early 1460s.
