Sometimes trees have to be removed. A couple of the trees that we planted back in 1988 have been infected by an airborne blight and are dying from the bottom up.
The trees were about 6 feet (2 meters) tall when we planted them. Look at them now.
This team of professionals removed the trees and cleaned up in about one hour. These pictures and the following video were taken at 8:41 AM on April 28, 2021, They said they would be here the first week of May, They were already ahead of schedule.
By 9:00 AM they had cleaned away the first tree and were starting on the second tree. This video shows how to drop a tree in one minute.

Here, in Western New York, there have been many shouts of TIMBER! Nearly all of our ash trees are dead or dying, victims of the infamous Emerald Ash Borer. It was very sad and we have lost a large percentage of our trees. It’s time for a massive tree planting project!
Yes we have that problem too. We removed two large ash trees a few years ago before they were infected but there was no way to protect them. Elm trees had a disease decimate them many years ago.
We hope we don’t need to remove those tall pines we have growing in our yard.. but it is good to know and see how this is done.. thanks for sharing the video Doug..
Though we did need to cut down an apple tree that got infected a few years ago, it was much more of an easy task as it was done in stages and not as tall
