Today was a lovely day for a walk in the Case Woodlot. I invite you to join me on a short walk into the forest. I will show you a little of what I saw. I began by parking on a nearby residential street.
Near the entrance to the woodlot, I saw the remains of a hockey net. I recognized it from the first time I visited. At that time it was down by the pond and was a leftover from last year’s hockey games on the pond. Since my last visit, someone had dragged it up to the garbage container to be taken away. This winter the players will have to find a new net.
At the entrance to the wood lot there is a plaque on a rock acknowledging those who have had a part in ensuring the land can be enjoyed by the community.
There is also a caution sign about safe use of the woodlot.
Now lets begin the walk into the newer part of the woodlot.
Did you see the squirrel at the end of the video? He was sitting on a stump way back in the center of the frame.
Love seeing photos of the changing color on the trees! We don’t see that much where I am in Texas.
Thank you for taking me with you on your walk! Watching the video made me feel like I was right there! So beautiful!!
Let’s take another walk tomorrow. Bring the dog He will love it.
It is just beginning and only lasts two or three weeks.
What a great Saturday post to get us wanting to get outside!
You will like the Sunday post too.
