Andalucia

Andalucía

Of all the autonomous communities of Spain, Andalucía is the second largest and has a the largest population. It extends from the boarder with Portugal, around the Atlantic coast and down to Gibraltar, then along the Mediterranean sea coast as far as Vera. It includes the cities of Seville, Huelva, Cadiz, Malaga, Cordoba, Jaen, Granada and Almeria. It also includes the Mediterranean beaches along the Costa del Sol, Costa Tropical, and the Costa de Almeria.

Here are a few pictures snapped on our bus ride to Gibraltar from Seville.

We were greeted warmly when we stopped.

Our guide arranged a photo stop on the north shore of the Bay of Gibraltar in the town of La Línea de la Concepción. The name refers to the boarder line.

Our tour group got off of the bus at the boarder with Gibraltar and walked across the boarder where we boarded the smaller tour buses that were designed for driving in Gibraltar. That means a steering wheel on the right hand side, and short enough to negotiate the sharp turns and narrow streets of Gibraltar.
