Welcome to the Barbados Highland Bar and Adventure Center
It was about 10:00 and the Barbados Island Tour bus stopped at the Highland adventure center. It was on one of the highest points of land on the island so there were some good views. Some people enjoyed a cup of coffee and everyone was offered an island favourite fruit punch with some island rum. I like to think of it as Barbados’s version of a mimosa.
One of the shopkeepers had a pet to keep her company while she worked on her craft creations. Tourists were interesting and so were their fruit drinks.
Not all of the locals felt the same about tourists. For some, it was a time to leave for a quieter space.
The views from the center of the island showed a variety of plants and geography.
There are 60 miles of coastline.
Great pictures. Barbados looks like a fun place to visit. And, considering the weather forecast, I would think that I ought to try an extended visit, which would involve bringing art supplies and painting… lots of painting. I’m sure that I wouldn’t be too homesick!
The good news is you can travel by ship and avoid the airline price per pound fee.
I love the weather station sign!
So do I
Lovely, a paradise ! It would be lovely to sip a marguerita on the beach.
