Barbados Highland Bar

Welcome to the Barbados Highland Bar and Adventure Center

It was about 10:00 and the Barbados Island Tour bus stopped at the Highland adventure center. It was on one of the highest points of land on the island so there were some good views. Some people enjoyed a cup of coffee and everyone was offered an island favourite fruit punch with some island rum. I like to think of it as Barbados’s version of a mimosa.

The common sense weather station.
The word behind the glass is RUN, inside the glass is RUM.
The Highland Adventure begins here.

One of the shopkeepers had a pet to keep her company while she worked on her craft creations. Tourists were interesting and so were their fruit drinks.

Welcoming the tourists.
This is how to be camera friendly.

Not all of the locals felt the same about tourists. For some, it was a time to leave for a quieter space.

The views from the center of the island showed a variety of plants and geography.

  1. Great pictures. Barbados looks like a fun place to visit. And, considering the weather forecast, I would think that I ought to try an extended visit, which would involve bringing art supplies and painting… lots of painting. I’m sure that I wouldn’t be too homesick!

Thanks for looking at the pictures. Tell me what you liked, or didn't.
