Bedford balloons, booths and bodies
Summer is the best time to have an outdoor festival. The weather is warm and even in England, it can be dry. In July of 2018 it was ideal even though some found it too warm for their liking.
The booths sell all kinds of fast food and drinks that accompany a carnival.
Of course there were the busses and the buildings but I will save those for another day.
The building below is from a suburb of Bedford. It is called Shortstown because it was built by the Shorts brothers. These big green structures were constructed in the early 1900’s to build air ships for air travel and war time applications. The Shorts brothers owned the factory and the town was built to house the workers. The town celebrated its centenary in 2017. It is growing again as commuters are buying up the new homes as fast as they can be built.
There is a post that gives more information on the air ship hangers.

Don’t forget the birds.
Oh those balloons! I have seen similar buildings a few times on our road trips; maybe they were used for similar purposes too. Love traveling through your photos.
