Bedford Birds

Birds, Boats, Booths and Balloons

I have blogged about the boats. Now I will blog about the birds. The booths and balloons will follow in another post.

Some of the best photos I captured that day were of this confident owl. I thought I saw the trainer had an other bird there that he was showing to the crowd. By the time I had worked my way through the crowd, they had just both gone back into the tent for a drink and to cool off. When the trainer returned, he was displaying this wonderful bird.

A beautiful owl waving to the crowds.

I do not think there is anything more I can say that these photos do not say better. Enjoy!

  1. Those are beautiful birds. Chuffed that you saw them in my home country (England). Here’s an unusual story. A cockatoo, flew into the barn house of a friend of my other half. No one claimed him and he kept him. This was over a year ago.

I arrived home a couple of days ago to see a cockatoo sitting in a rabbit cage!

Explanation from my other half is that the owner is leaving for the US and he (other half) will find him a home. In the meantime, I have no idea whether he’s male, female, have a disease, or its name… I’ve named him ‘Bird’. Dull, I know. Then I found out the previous owner named him ‘Bird’. Me thinks he’ll make his home in ours.

  2. What a beautiful owl! He has a great attitude and an even better profile. I take back my previous statement. He is handsome, not merely beautiful. His eyes are incredible. I could look at those eyes all day. It’s one of the few times when I’m not acting totally flaky when I say… Look!!! A bird!

Thanks for looking at the pictures. Tell me what you liked, or didn't.
