Budapest Road Trip
After a busy morning of touring the city and walking along the Fisherman’s Bastion our bus headed off to Visegrad to catch up with the riverboat so that we could have our lunch. This was a great opportunity for us to see some of the countryside of Hungary, and the suburbs that are growing up around Budapest.
Our progress was slowed down by a traffic accident on the expressway.
Our bus driver got off at the nearest exit and made a detour through the shopping mall.
We were a little late arriving at our meeting point but the scenery was beautiful and the riverboat was there waiting for us. The riverboat had taken four hours to travel the same distance that our bus covered in about 45 minutes.
Now it was time to get off the bus and begin our cruise up the Danube River.
