The changing of the guard occurs every hour. There were two guards at the front door and two more at the side door.

This statue with wings spread, the Turul bird  is seen on the skyline in many pictures taken on Buda Hill.

This equestrian statue  of Prince Eugene of Savoy was placed here because the city commissioning it was not able to pay for it.

  1. Great pictures. They make me feel as if I were there. I really enjoyed the depiction of that beautiful architecture. I was especially fascinated by the bird and the horse statues. It is a good introduction to the palace in Budapest for people who have never been there.
