Kenora Landmarks

Like all communities, Kenora has a few unique landmarks, and a mixture of old and new architecture. The red building is the old post office. The modern white building at the water’s edge is a tourist information center. Above it are the church and water  tower.

If you talk to anyone who has driven through the town, they will most likely tell you about the big fish.

In one of the narrow channels between islands is a warning of the dangers caused by the strong currents. This is called Devil’s Gap.

This hotel is one of the landmarks to guide boats back to town and to the Safeway grocery store on the left. One tourist guide likes to joke about this being the only “safe way” to get your groceries from your boat.
