Montreal sail-away

For a wordless Wednesday I have fewer words and more videos. I have to mention a specialty shop we stumble upon near the port. It is about ducks. You may have seen one in a bath tub. You may have seen them sitting on Jeeps, in vending machines, in all ports of the world. They are intended to cheer you up and are given as a gesture of kindness. They can even come to you out of the cloud.

Now a video recap of what we saw in Montreal. (adjust for vertical window.)

Adjust for portrait frame then back to landscape when finished

Islands in the St. Lawrence River

  1. I’ve heard that Quebec is quite charming with European charm. Your videas confirm its beauty. As for the ducks, I’ve had one or two given to me but I’m not a collector. I live in Minnesota and Jeep owners love them though!

  2. A whole shop of rubber ducks near the port is the kind of find that makes a trip, and I knew about the Jeep ducks but had no idea they turn up in ports around the world too. Sailing out of Montreal into the sunset looks so peaceful, and those islands along the St. Lawrence would have kept me on deck the whole time. I’m looking forward to seeing where the ship takes you next.

By the way, have you seen this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYOmtEcZ1lk
