Iceland is a large island in the north Atlantic Ocean. Surprisingly it has less ice than Greenland. Did someone mix the names up?

The population of Iceland is recorded as 344,286 on Wednesday the 17th of November 2021. Of this great number, 665 live in Seydisfjordur.

It is a protected harbour and the people thrive on fishing and tourism. It is a beautiful town as you will see from photos in later posts. The harbour does not have a dock large enough for our ship so we anchored in the fjord and used the ship’s tenders to go ashore.
Here is a video that will show our first views of the island as seen from the upper decks of the Island Princess.

After a short ride in the Tender, we set our feet on solid ground and we met the security team who welcomed us to the island. For some, there was a bus waiting to take us on a tour, for others, they were free to walk around the town.
