Knock, Knock. Who is there. I could hear him before I could see him. Turn up your volume and you will hear him too.
This little guy is always on the move, around the tree, up and down the tree. Some say they only attack trees that have insects under the bark. I spent a lot of time trying to catch a moment when he was visible and still enough to get a picture that was not too blurry. I could not get too close or he would just fly off to another tree.
- Knock, Knock.
- Who is there?
- Woo.
- Woo who.?!
- I am glad you are enjoying this.
What a beautiful woodpecker! while we were bird watching in our backyard a hawk came to visit but I did’t have my phone to snap a picture!
If you see all of the birds at the feeder all leave at once, there could be a hawk flying overhead.
Lovely pictures, Doug. I have a cardinal that frequents the tree in my backyard.
If you feed them they will come. You will soon have a family of them visiting and see dad feeding the teens from your buffet.
