When I first saw these piles of branches, I thought they were just collecting the branches together for easier pick up later. That was until I looked a little closer and saw that they were purposefully built with an inside space.
I saw several of them randomly constructed around the bush. I am thinking they may have been built by a local boy scout group as one of their field exercises. Put on your running shoes and join me for a quick jog around a few of these shelters.
At the far end of the trail, I did see one of these shelters that was a little more robust. It provided more shelter and had clotheslines and a water bottle hanging from one of the lines. This could have been built by the scout leaders or could be the shelter for one of the homeless in our community.
The shelters are amazing and once again so is the beautiful sky peeking through the trees on your video!
About half of the leaves have fallen since these pictures were taken. There is more blue sky to see today.
