What is not to like about Copenhagen? Here are some pictures and videos of an exciting city. It has excellent architecture and relaxing, revitalizing parks. <The videos can be watched in fullscreen mode and the quality and speed can be adjusted.>
This is the second time I have stayed overnight in Copenhagen. The previous time, in 2015, we stayed at this same hotel, the Scandic. It is close to the Tivoli Theme Park and the Frederiksburg Campus of the Copenhagen University of Nature.
There are several places along the water’s edge to stop and dine. The ponds are not very deep and the water is pretty clear.
Oh, yes, there are lots of restaurants too.
If you have time, take a look at Tivoli Park.
The iconic statue and symbol of Copenhagen is “The Little Mermaid”. Here is a link to what I had to show and say in 2015.
There have been many movies made about “The Little Mermaid” and there is a new one in the works to be released in 2023.
Looks great! So much to see and do! My friend just came back from the Netherlands a few days ago. He took a tour in Denmark as well and saw the famous statue of the little mermaid.
*adds Copenhagen to bucket list.*
Ahhh, the “Little Mermaid ” she really is little and suffers so much abuse under the hands of men. 🤓🧐
You’re so right about the stately architecture. My favorite picture is that of the Planetarium. I find it fascinating. It seems like people in many cities outside of the USA get around on bicycles and motorcycles. They must be on to something!
There are many reasons why bicycles work for the health of the people and the planet. The compact lifestyle in a hospitable climate help to sustain it. Is it better to spread out or to huddle together?
