Kristiansand BusTrip

After the tour around the islands near Kristiansand, Norway, we took a bus trip to Lillesand and back. All of this, including the hour in Lillesand only took four hours.

I did not spend any time in the town of Kristiansand, a seaside resort city with a population of 15,000. It has united with its neighbouring municipalities of Søgne and  Songdalen into the greater Kristiansand municipality. Following the incorporation of the municipalities as of January 2020, the population was around 112,000.

The bridge we used as a short-cut on the return ride.

The following pictures are from the bus between Kristiansand and Lillesand. We saw farms and rivers and marinas on the rivers.

One of many yatch clubs.
It is nice to have your boat tied up near home.

Here is a video of the scenery rolling past the bus window. Starting from the Arena in Kristiansand and leaving town, notice the modern shopping mall located remotely from the residential areas and the boating communities along the rivers.

There are round-abouts where the highways meet.

The following minute of video shows the suburban homes of Lillesand. Does it look like a community that you would like to live in?

  1. Gilligan went on a three-hour tour. Your bus trip was four hours and look at all you covered in that time to Lillesand and back. That’s amazing! The sites you captured are beautiful and it was so interesting! I loved learning about the different places you go to and how everything looked. I’m so jealous that you got to go on this trip! I’m definitely going to have to put it on my list of things to do. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!

Thanks for looking at the pictures. Tell me what you liked, or didn't.
