Party in the Park

Our Town has been hosting concerts in the town park for many years; even through Covid summers, when they painted 2-meter circles and limited attendance. These concerts have been very popular and can be heard from blocks around the park.

The concerts are usually on a Wednesday evening but the first concert of this summer began on a Thursday, the eve of Canada Day.

One of several bands entertaining us that evening
Some sat on the Bleachers, many more brought their own chairs.
The audience was clapping to the music.

The month of June began with the community closing down the main street and setting up kiosks along both sides of the road through the centre of town. It seems like everyone came out for the street sale. When I saw the crown of people in the street ahead of me, I took a picture of what I faced, bought a sausage on a bun from a nearby vendor, and went back home.

Before you leave, listen to a compilation of clips from the concert and leave me a comment below to tell me what you liked. You can watch it in full-screen mode.

  1. Hi Doug, thank you for sharing your town’s party with me. It was delightful and felt relaxing! I enjoyed the music, too, although I don’t think that I really have a favorite!!! Have a great day and don’t forget to blog on!!!

  2. Looks like a wonderfully relaxing event – I’m so glad these are allowed to be happening again. I was trying to read what they sold at this food trailer “LIEF” but it was too blurry?

  3. Looks like fun. I’m amazed that they didn’t cancel during Covid. We missed so many wonderful Summer activities
Thank goodness that this summer is almost normal. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Thanks for sharing Doug. Looks like something fun that the whole family can do together. I wish our city did something like that. Maybe someday. Enjoyed the short video. Happy Canada Day (even though it is now halfway through July, lol).

Thanks for looking at the pictures. Tell me what you liked, or didn't.
