Phoenix Island

Under creation in Sanya Bay, Hainan Province, China has a new port terminal for international cruise ships.

The port is actually two islands. The completed one is in use for cruise ships. It has about five unique buildings which give the skyline an iconic character. Most are condos. One is a five-star hotel. The second island is under construction.There is parkland and the completed parts have been landscaped to create a resort atmosphere.As a tourist destination it includes the following:

• Yacht clubhouse
• Restaurants
• Shopping complex
• Shopping street
• Sports and recreational area
• Theme park

China’s culture is big on Jade, even fake plastic jade. Notice the water here in the south China Sea is the colour of jade. I believe it is always this colour. It is not a copy of the Irish in Chicago dying the river water green for Saint Patricks Day.How would you use this little runabout?  It would be a great way to get around the island and explore what is new in port. It is probably waiting for someone who uses it to get back and forth to work.
