Seville by Night
Seville offers the tourist a lot of things to see. At night is it bright and in the spring it is comfortable to walk about. Many people work later into the evening because of the siesta break in the afternoon. The restaurants are not expecting to get busy before 9:00. Our tour guide usually found a restaurant that was willing to open earlier so we could make a reservation for 7:30.
These pictures were taken after 9:00 PM as we walked back to the hotel.
The city has erected a statue to commemorate W.A Mozart. They waited until 200 years after his death.
April 20 was the opening of this movie by the director of “The Grand Hotel Budapest”. Are you familiar with either one?
Below is the Torre del Oro or tower of gold. Construction began in 1220 as a military defense to protect the city from invaders approaching from the Guadalquivir river. There was a similar tower on the other side of the river and a heavy chain was strung across the river between the two towers. Now it is a military museum.
Tio Pepe is a popular brand you will see advertised all over Spain.
This is our hotel for the two nights we stayed in Seville.
Conveniently located across the street is the country market shop.
Here is a link to more information about the tower of gold.

Commemorating Mozart 200 years after his death is late, but on the other hand “never” is too late! 😀
