The Eiffel Tower views from the Seine

While in France visiting Mickey Mouse, we took a day off to visit a few of the icons of Paris. First Versailles in the morning and the Eiffle Tower and a river cruise on the Seine in the afternoon. For the third week of May, it was rather cold, mid teens Celsius, wet and windy. Look at the coats and hoods on the tourists. The hot weather began a couple of days later.

Some of the bridges are adorned with decorations while others are rather plain. Watch the video for some of these features.

The Alexandre III bridge was completed in 1900 to honour the Russian Tsar who ratified the Franco Russian War. Many claim it is the most beautiful bridge in the world. I cannot say because I have not seen all of the others yet.

Most of the views are of the historic buildings built along the banks of the Seine river. You may recognize the Louvre but it is a little different from the river, since you do not see the glass pyramids.
