To get to the fisherman’s bastion at the top of Castle Hill we had to enter the tunnel from the traffic circle.

At the top of the hill in front of St. Matthias Church is a monument to St. Stephen who was the first king of Hungary.

From the Bastion the views across the Danube to the city of Pest, and up and down the river are amazing.

Our riverboat, like the one below, is going to take us on a cruise up the Danube River to Nuremberg. Our boat left the dock this morning after we got on the bus. The one you see in the picture pulled into that spot. In order to get into Vienna by tomorrow morning our boat had to be travelling while we were visiting the city by bus. We will catch up with the boat later in the afternoon and begin our scenic cruise.
