Inside the Obi Castle

The castle that you are looking at in these pictures is the result of a renovation that took place in 1979. The castle grounds were initially controlled by the Shimazu family until their clan lost a battle to the Ito clan in 1587. In 1684 an earthquake caused enough damage to require a rebuild. Let’s see what is inside. (click on gallery images to enlarge them)

There is a model of a river boat that fills one room.

Makes one want to put it in the river.

If the boat was not enough to impress rival clans, maybe the Samurai armour might.

Lets look at two more rooms through the eye of a GoPro camera.

Now, here is the question for the day. What do you think this room is for?

Maybe this clue will help. This is on the other side of the wall.

Final clue: (instructions for assembly and use 😉

If you guessed what the one above was, maybe you can tell me what you would use the next item for, flowers, food, or just washing you hands?

If you recognized the sauna room, you can take a ride back to the bus in this rickshaw.

One last look at the cedar forest before you leave.
