LLCTW

Laurentian Leadership Centre of Trinity Western

That is a rather lengthy title that deserves a simple abbreviation like LLC. Who would not like to spend a year in this wonderful place?

Before you answer that question let me invite you in for a look around.

Learning Center welcome mat and mosaic entry.

Where should we start? What kind of room would you like?

how much room do you need?
a fireplace would be nice.

Notice how the ceiling panels tie into the wall panels.

I think this would be an ideal dining room.

possibly a dining room

This might be a lovely spot to curl up with a book and a cup of coffee.

Would you change the wall paper or is it in keeping with the rest of the decor?

It does not have to be a church to have a stained glass window but this might be a nice corner for meditation.

Back in 1909 when this home was built for the lumber baron John R. Booth using the elegant Queen Anne Revival House design, this was probably the smoking lounge.

The sitting room.

Following, is an excerpt from the program description of the certificate course offered here:   ( reference link)

The Laurentian Leadership Centre is a live-in, extension program in an historic mansion in the heart of Ottawa, the nation’s capital. The program includes a half-time internship and three courses. It is geared towards third and fourth year students, or recent graduates, who are looking for experiential learning. Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a “Certificate in Leadership and Applied Public Affairs,” or “Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Applied Public Affairs.” No other program in Canada offers the same access to elite Ottawa internships in politics and NGOs. The LLC Director works with each student to develop a customized placement relevant to his or her academic or career interests. Past students have interned with Members of Parliament; Senators; Cabinet Minister’s Offices; international NGOs like the Red Cross or World Vision; embassies or high commissions; the War Museum; and NGOs like the Centre for Public Dialogue or the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada.

Would you be interested in renting one of these rooms for your next event in Ottawa?
