Lindos Acropolis

The tour bus can only go so far. There is some walking, and the good news, there are steps. We did not have to climb the wall.

Partway up, there is a level with this Byzantine Church of St. John. It was built in the 14th century when the Knights of St. John used this as a fortified place to defend the island.

Steps are in good shape.

Stepping up to the top layer, the finer stones are used for the temple.

If you wait , there may be an opportunity to get a picture without your fellow tourists.
