Marigot Saint Martin

“On a clear day, you can see for miles”.

In the morning sun, the view over the town from the top of the hill is brilliant.

Spring is a dry season but flowers bloom.

Most of the rain falls during the fall, from August to November. It is also called hurricane season. According to the French Press, “Hurricane Irma hit Saint Martin on 6 September 2017; 95% of the structures on the French side were damaged or destroyed.” (Agence France-Presse)

When we visited in April of 2019, most of the buildings had been repaired but there were still a few roofs covered with blue tarps.

The Scout Meeting Hall still needs a new roof.
Consider Bed and Breakfast on a Yatch.
Fort Louis on the hilltop.

We were not the only ones enjoying a walk in the morning sun on the quiet hillside.

Our favourite Cruise ship, the Pacific Princess
This part of the harbour is calm.

It is a beautiful sheltered harbour.

  1. Beautiful photographs. My daughter and her husband take cruises several times a year. I have yet to muster up the courage to set foot on one! LOL

I loved the photo with the cruise liner in the background and the other magnificent vessel setting at the forefront.

I’d like to take a trip to a far off land where the beauty of nature takes one’s breath away.

    Have a great day!

Thanks for looking at the pictures. Tell me what you liked, or didn't.
