Lets take a ride through the city of Tokyo. Starting from our hotel in Narita (yellow pin in top right corner.) we will let the coach river choose the best route to the cruise ship terminal in Yokohama ( yellow pin in bottom left corner of the map..
It is a little after 11:00 on a mild mid-March day when we leave the hotel. The pink cherry blossoms stand out so well against the dark bark of the cherry trees. It may be a few days before we see more of these beautiful blossoms since we are heading into the concrete jungle know as the city and the open waters of Tokyo Bay.
The traffic looks rather light on the highway at the beginning of the trip.
There is always something different to see on a trip like this. What are your expectations of Japan and Tokyo? Are you surprised by the modern expressways and buildings?
We see a lot of tall buildings in the city of Tokyo. It is hard to tell where Tokyo ends and Yokohama begins.
We finally wind up at the Yokohama cruise ship terminal about quarter to one. That is good because we can visit the Horizon Court Restaurant for lunch while we wait for our bags to be delivered to our room.
